The cooler temps make working in the garden much nicer, but it has surely slowed down ripening!
We were able to get a few things planted for fall harvest for the first time in 3 years of gardening!
We have turnips, beets, and lettuce coming up. Late zucchini is producing. Kale, sugar peas, bok choy, swiss chard, cabbages, spinach & radishes should be popping up soon.
This week we harvested watermelon, cantaloup, tomatoes, green beans, okra, banana peppers, & eggplant for the local food pantry plus our volunteers were able to enjoy some of the fruits of their labors as well.
We were also blessed with another load of wood chips to help us as we take our garden Back to Eden … God IS good!
