This is Hanover Presbyterian Church’s third year doing a just.good.food garden and we’re excited that we are harvesting lots of good food for the Open Hands Open Hearts Food Pantry, as well as the House of Hope Food Pantry in Madison, IN.
This year we also tried something new. With thanks to the Presbytery of Ohio Valley for the grant they gave us, we did a Tomato in a Bucket Project. Southwestern School agricultural students grew tomatoes for us, and once they were just the right size, we planted them in five gallon buckets to distribute to the people at the food pantries to begin their own gardens!
